Today we re-deployed the four tiles at FR7 shallow transect that required the drilling for new anchor bolts. Here are some photos Sabina took with Paul's camera of the drilling that we did yesterday.

We also re-deployed the first 10 tiles at the FR7 middle transect and retrieved the second 10. When we return these second 10 tomorrow, we will have finished everything at FR7. Yeah!!! The other thing we did on this first dive was set up the GoPro camera on a stick. Paul taught me and Sabina how to do a trucker's hitch which will come in handy in the future. Here is the camera before being deployed. This was a test run, so we only left it out for the length of the dive.

Skipper Joel wanted to test out the backup motor. It checked out OK. Paul decided the other piece of equipment we needed to test was the life ring. The backup motor worked fine, but we had problems with the life ring.

After our last dive of the day, Paul and Sabina like to rinse off by jumping off the roof of Zenobia's wheelhouse . Here is one particularly good jump by Sabina.

Today we collected 30 tiles, a new record. The most we had collected before in one day was 22. Of course this means more tiles to process, so we headed back to the lab after dinner to finish up.
